Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was good as usual. We drove to Idaho on Wednesday night, when we got there we went out for dinner and then stayed up late baking pies and visiting.

Thankgiving day was good, we had sooo much food and we kept forgetting stuff cause there was so much food, then we would be like oh wait we forgot this we forgot that.. but it was a good day. we enjoyed getting to spend time with Margie since we hadn't seen her since like March.

New Edition... Louee!

So back when Chris and I first started dating, He was new to the cat thing. He was never really raised with any animals except rabbits, and they lived in California so they were outside. He was kinda wierd about Dru and Pugslee for a while. I told him The boys and I were a package deal, as I had had Pugslee my entire adult life and got Dru only 2 years after Pugslee. He said that was fine, but, if I got any more animals that he would leave me. Well after 5 years, there is so much love in his heart for animals and he never realized the bond you could form, and that they could be part of your family. So for a couple months HE was begging me for a kitten. I kept telling him that kittens are so much work, and he kept begging.

Well Margie's cat Shirlee just had a litter of kittens and Sue had taken pictures and sent them, she was having a hard time finding homes for them. So I told him if he truely wanted a kitten to pick one from her litter, and so he chose a square short haired white kitten with blue eyes.

So we told Margie we wanted this one and she found home for all but the white one and a little gray calico. We so weren't agreeing on names, and then during a conversation with Kellie the name just hit me. Louee. It has special meaning as my mom's middle name was Lou. So we decided that at Thanksgiving we would pick him up. But Margie couldn't find a home for one she was calling birtha.. so I placed an ad on KSL and had a home for her in less than 2 hours.

I would pick her up with Louee and bring her to her to her new home. She was to be a little girls Christmas present. Well we met Louee and Birtha, and they instantly loved me. love at first sight. Chris and I fell inlove with Birtha too we so wanted to keep her. But her new owners were eager to met her so we had to give her up.

One thing for sure, Chris was not prepared for how much work Louee would be. We are primed for actual kids now to say the least. he said he now understands why people say "they're cuter when they're asleep!" LOL
Little Louee ( though he's not so little.. Biggest kitten I've ever seen)
Hard to believe he is only like 3 months in this pic he looks like a 1 year old cat

Decorating for Christmas

Well we had to get a new tree this year. Our couch took up the spot where out 7 foot tree normally goes... and the little spot we had for a tree has a lower ceiling and not even big enough for our big tree.. and decorating is my favorite thing to do, so we got a little 4.5 foot tree so we could still enjoy a tree.... Here are some of the highlights..

New Moon Event

The new moon event went really well. We had 26 people and honestly probly could have sold more tickets. I made a huge pot of chilie and Sarah made some potatoe soup and we had a really good dinner. We then did drawings for new moon stuff and watched twilight before heading to the theatre to watch New Moon. Honestly I really liked the movie. I didn't like twilight.. it kinda pissed me off probly cause I love the book so much, but I thought this movie was everything it needed to be.
Cheesy.. but the opportunity was there

New moon Swag bags

So for our New Moon event we made little swag bags. Sarah and I spent the whole day shopping for last minute things and making the name tags, and getting the neckalces ready. It was a long day but well worth it.
