Girl time....
So to start the four day weekend, Kellie had a great idea to have a little fun in the sun girls day to say goodbye to summer. So this morning we all met up at my place, went to Starbucks, then to my pool. We sat around and BS'd and drank our coffee and read magazines. It was really fun and a really good needed decompression. after we were done baking in the sun we decided to do lunch. I was gonna cook but the city is doing construction and our water was off. So we decided to go to Pei Wei. It was super yummy, I got the lettuce wraps. Then Carla had to pick Meg up from school so Kellie and I curled up on my bed, ate ice cream and watched Dane Cook. It was a fun farewell to summer!

A night babysitting
Last night Nikki and I had the honor of watching Hannah and Isaac for a few hours. The activities included McDonald's Happy Meals, swimming at our pool which turned into "bumper floaties" between Hannah and Isaac then followed up with Shrek and brownies and ice cream. Shrek is one of Hannah's favorites because she loves Princess Fiona. Isaac on the other hand screamed when he saw the dragon because he was scared of the fire that dragons spit when they are "bad guys"..then he would scream because the dragon turned out to be a "good guy" and Isaac was fascinated that the dragon could fly.

If you don't talk to your cats about catnip... Who will?
So my aunt Sue sent fresh catnip home from her garden for my boys. They LOVE catnip!! Unfortunately things tend to get out of hand... Dru gets mean tries to climb me looking for more, basically he's a mean drunk. Ha ha. When we first brought it home from Idaho, Chris left it in the floor... I mean honestly Dru once chewed through a plastic container to get to his catnip addiction, a zip lock will not keep him out. I went over to Mindy's to get our key and Chris was on the computer completely oblivious. I come home and there is a chewed up plastic bag, green plant everywhere and two very high, very paranoid, drooling cats. It was a sight to behold... Unfortunately, I did not have my camera available to capture that moment on film. However I gave them a dose tonight and man did they go crazy again...
They're eating it...

Idaho
Chris and I went to Idaho over the weekend, to visit my aunt in Burley. I get homesick a lot especially in the summer cause I really start to miss the river. While in town we visited lots with Margie, we went to the Cassia County Fair, and we drove to Twin Falls to shop. I was really excited for the fair, I hadn't been in years. I remember growing up it was always my favorite time of the year. I always looked forward to the food and seeing my friends that I had not seen all summer, plus even though I don't do rides the carnival was always a blast. But, its kind of funny cause it wasn't that great. It wasn't nearly as much fun as when I was little. I guess when you grow up some of the things you just loved kind of lose thier meaning. Then, when we went to Twin Falls we stopped before the bridge in the Snake river canyon, I took lots of pictures. I got some last winter as well, but I wanted some when the canyon was greener. Then, we went and met up with Sue and Roy(Sparky), and did some shopping, and had lots of fun. Margie Took Chris for a late lunch at Johnny Carino's for a birthday dinner since she had not seen him since his birthday. Then on Sunday before we left, we went to the cemetery and put flowers on my mom's grave. Other than for funerals I haven't been there in a while. I realized most of the people I loved so dearly growing up are right there together touching headstones. Lots of Korbs in that cemetery. Well, here are some pictures from our weekend.

Summer activities
So this summer we have spent a lot of time watching Chris's brother's soccer games. It has actually been a lot of fun. I am not really into most sports as Chris will tell you. I do enjoy live hockey games, and most sports in person as the atmosphere is usually fun... but I have loved being able to watch these games and really get into them. I have also been taking lots of pictures of Jonny and Matt at the games. I feel like a stalker cause I will take like 200 pictures during one game... I'm not really a sports girl so I don't know what the good shots are... but here are some highlights of their games. Enjoy!

Ravioli Party... or tragedy
So I had a ravioli party, and the first one I ever had was way fun. They are a lot of work to make, but so yummy and its fun when you make it a girls day... Well this time I couldn't find the dough recipe I used, so I used one I found on the Internet... did not work out well. they all kept sticking to the machine and wadding up and it was just a night mare. I had fun with the girls but we didn't get enough to freeze. So we all just had a big ravioli dinner with what we managed to save. But we all got the chance to laugh and play.

My Twilight addiction......
So since reading Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, by Stephenie Meyer a couple months ago, I have been hooked. I could not wait for the fourth one Breaking Dawn to come out. So of course when it came out there was a midnight release party. I was the first one in line to get in to Barnes and Noble. I had borrowed them to Sarah so she could read them and be as obsessed as I was, and also so I would have someone to talk to about it. Chris smiles and nods like he is supposed to, but he just doesn't get it. So we spent about three hours waiting for this book, I dragged Kellie and Mindy with me, and Sarah brought her friend Suzanne. It was a lot of fun. We played games, which our team won, took lots of pictures and just enjoyed the atmosphere of people as obsessed as we are. Also thanks to Kellie for hanging out with us with a bunch of crazy people when she didn't even buy the book. It was nice to have her there to make fun of people with me...
